MK Gallery Expansion

This month MK Gallery Project Space presents floor plans, elevations, sections, visualisations and models sharing current ideas for MK Gallery’s expansion by 6a architects.
The scheme involves adapting existing spaces as well as constructing new ones, making them energy and maintenance efficient, fully accessible and flexible. This world-class cultural facility will be launched in 2017 to coincide with Milton Keynes’ 50th anniversary.

Visitors can meet members of the design team at a Special Viewing on Thursday 10th April from 6 - 9pm and gallery staff will be available throughout the exhibition to answer questions and receive feedback.

Complementing the Project Space exhibition, throughout April, MK Gallery’s family programme offers architecturally inspired activities. This includes the Tuesday Start the Art sessions (for under 4s) and Saturday Mini Makers (for over 5s). Members of 6a’s team will be joining Start the Art parents and toddlers session on 22 April to learn more about their needs and expectations of the expanded facility.
