3 October - 2 November 2014
This month’s Project Space exhibition celebrates the structure and cultural diversity of Milton Keynes by featuring a collection of artwork drawn from a range of organisations and individuals, reflecting the many perspectives of Milton Keynes.
The exhibits include textiles, pottery, painting and mosaics inspired by the cartography, landscape and history of the city. They have been created by students, tutors and staff at Community Learning MK, with additional contributions from pupils at Slated Row School, Macintyre Service Users, Arts Central members and parents and children from Little Owls and Robins Children’s Centres.
Jane Sharp, Arts Curriculum Development Organiser at Community Learning MK, says: “This exhibition shows how local people see our city through art. It’s been great to see people getting so involved and communities coming together to celebrate Milton Keynes and their creativity. We are delighted to be working with the gallery and Macintyre to showcase their fantastic work.”
The Project Space exhibition will be open on Saturdays and Sundays from 12pm – 5pm with additional access from 1pm-3pm on 8 October and 4pm – 6pm on 22 October 2014. Group viewings can also be arranged on request by calling 01908 556745.
