Opening Doors - from hurt to hope

6 – 30 January 2011

Opening Doors – from hurt to hope is an art project organised by Inter-Action MK aimed at raising awareness about domestic abuse.

A group of young people working with a project run by MK Council have created the doors on display. Each door reflects the thoughts and responses of the girls during a series of workshops looking at what makes a healthy relationship. Each door has an accompanying piece of text. Also in the exhibition is a door created by artist Sarah Wright, which was commissioned to launch the project.

Inter-Action MK is an organisation that delivers a programme of high quality, innovative and inclusive Community Arts in Milton Keynes, prioritising work with excluded groups. Over the next year they aim to create more doors with other Milton Keynes based groups.
