Catherine Baker: Drawing Connections
7-31 October 2010
Catherine Baker's work centres on the physical acts involved in making drawings. In addition to conventional drawing methods she uses eye-tracking data and GPS traces.
To coincide with the National Campaign for Drawing's annual Big Draw, Baker presents a series of works in the Project Space that make use of some of these less-conventional approaches to the process of drawing. The work, which is illuminated and takes on a different presence at night, embraces a physical process including vision, touch and perception to visualise how we all attempt to make sense of our ever-changing environment.
The Project Space will be open to visitors from 12pm - 5pm on Sunday 24 and Tuesday 26 - Saturday 30 October, when Baker will be working in the space and available for discussion and drawing activities.
Different age ranges are invited to drop in on specific days, as follows:

Thurs 28 Oct: 6 - 10yr olds
