Family Evening

Join us for a summer evening of art activities and music for children and adults, with food and drink available for all. This event is free and all ages are welcome, although children must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times.

The activities will include body percussion, costume creations, ballet workshops, piano playing, balloons and an area for toddlers to get creative.

Complimentary snack food and soft drinks will be provided, and live bands will be playing in Margaret Powell Square, including David Goo.

Milton Keynes Gallery has a history of presenting popular and award-winning  Family Days every May and October. Emma Fry,  MK Gallery’s new Head of Education says:

“This summer, we wanted to try something a bit different.  Instead of our usual  separate summer workshops for children in different age ranges we decided we’d present one, much larger, free event, which we hope many more people in the community can participate in.”

The evening’s activities have thematic links with the  current exhibition, THE THE THINGS IS (FOR 3), which incldes a fully functioning band kit and a grand piano that visitors are allowed to play.
