The Artists Cinema 2010 programme

The Artists Cinema project, commissioned and toured by ICO and LUX, launched last year at Tate Modern and has been shown in cinemas nationwide, bringing the work of leading visual artists to diverse audiences.


It features seven international artists, whose work was described collectively by Brian Dillon of Sight & Sound as "…a ravishing but witty reflection on cinema's capacity to seduce."


The Artists Cinema 2010 programme comprises:


  • Ausgeträumt (6 mins, U) Directed by Deimantas Narkevicius (Lithuania)
  • The Coat (6 mins, PG) Directed by Keren Cytter (Israel)
  • Pulmo Marina (5 mins) Directed by Aurélien Froment (France)
  • A Love Story (5 mins) Directed by Amar Kanwar (India)
  • This Quality (5 mins, U) Directed by Rosalind Nashashibi (UK)
  • Tomorrow Everything Will Be Alright (7 mins, 12A)  Directed by Akram Zaatari (Lebanon).
  • The Last Days of British Honduras (6 mins, U) Directed by Catherine Sullivan with Farhad Sharmini (USA)
