2nd Annual Fred Roche Memorial Lecture

Thursday 28 July / 7.30pm / Free

MK Gallery hosts the 2nd annual Fred Roche Memorial Lecture. Speakers on the evening include David Lock and Lee Shostak.

Fred Roche came to Milton Keynes in 1970, aged just 39, to take on what was then one of the biggest jobs in the country, General Manager of Milton Keynes Development Corporation.

Building had not yet started on the largest and most ambitious new city the country had ever seen, and the board of MKDC feared it never would. They needed a General Manager who would ‘make it happen’, and they thought the young Fred Roche was their man.

His friends, colleagues and family have formed the Fred Roche Foundation to establish this lecture series which will foster the values which energised this great man.
