Thursday 6 October / 7pm / Free

Artist Wayne Lloyd's practice includes performance, drawing, comic book making, film and animation.  His work possesses a ‘non-art’ quality, and his processes compress, stretch and separate information.   Concerned with the politics of culture and its representation,  his live performance-films break the distinction between cinema and art.

To mark the launch of the Community without Propinquity exhibition in MK Gallery’s Project Space, Lloyd will give a special narrative performance of A Clockwork Orange, a film in which the modern architecture of new towns has a distinct role.

Recent exhibitions and performances include Unspooling at Cornerhouse, Manchester  (2010/11),  Art & The New Town, Harlow (2008), Beaconsfield, London (2009) The Brown Mountain Festival, London (2008). He has published two books, Nu Town (2008) and Wayne Winner's Arthouse Cinema (Immprint Books, 2004).
