Comic Book Workshop 3

Comic Book Workshop 3: Selling Your Comic

Wednesday 15 August / 6pm - 8pm / £10, £25 for all three

Join MK-based comic book maker Paul Rainey as he shares his experience of creating comics, self-publishing and making them available to the public.  These evening sessions can either be enjoyed individually or as part of a series of three.

Now that you’ve written, drawn and published your comic, its time to sell it! In this session, Paul will share decades of experience of practical ideas and methods for making the public aware of your work, including exhibiting at events, promotion, and appearing online. There will also be another opportunity for participants to create a comic strip in a timed exercise, working to a random title.

This is part of a series of three workshops taking place on Wednesdays 18 July and 1 and 15 August.

Paul Rainey is the writer and artist of diary strip Book of Lists which appeared daily online and is now available as a book. A runner-up in the 2011 Tartan Bucket Award with his character Jack the Robot, Paul is currently serialising his new big saga, Thunder Brother: Soap Division online at His 318 page graphic novel, There’s No Time Like The Present, is due for publication by Escape Books during 2012.
