Performance / Talk
Richard DeDominici
Thursday 11 July / 6.30pm / Free
Richard DeDomenici makes work that is social, playful, political and beautiful - although rarely all at once. His anarcho-surrealist interventions and acts of low-grade civil disobedience aim to create the kind of uncertainty that leads to possibility. DeDomenici has performed in 22 countries, and in August will take his touring show Popaganda to the Edinburgh Fringe.
In 2013 Richard DeDomenici launched The Redux Project - his attempt to disrupt the cinema industry by making counterfeit sections of popular films. The project has so far taken him to London, Glasgow, Berlin and Bangkok, and, unlike most derivative works, his fakes have often received better reviews than the originals.
For MK Calling Richard will give an illustrated presentation revealing his plans for two Redux projects in Milton Keynes.
'Outrageous, hilarious but piercing, a sharp critique of modern myth-making.'
The Scotsman, on Cloud Atlas Redux
