Mini Makers

Mini Curio Cabinets with Aaron Head

Mini Curio Cabinets with Aaron Head

Saturday 4 January / 1-3pm / Free* / 4+ year olds and their families

January’s Mini Makers take their inspiration from the Project Space exhibition which explores ‘The Art of Collecting’.

In this ‘collections’ inspired workshop you will get  to create your own beautiful butterfly or mysterious moth using familiar craft materials. These new species will be saved for science and displayed in your very own Victorian curiosity cabinet, crafted from cardboard and tape and labelled to identify your winged creature for future generations.

Places are limited, and booking essential via Eventbrite.  Ensure you book the correct number of child tickets for children that you need and adult tickets for adults.  Thank you.

Arts Awards

Mini Maker also encourages you to consider taking part in Arts Award Discover, a national scheme open to all 5+ year olds. These awards are all about taking part in, and enjoying art. Register your interest during any Mini Makers session by visiting the Information Desk in the main gallery.  (A £10 administration fee applies to do your ‘Discover’ Award with MK Gallery.)  For further information please email
