Finale of the Project Space Exhibition

Saturday 26 April / 12-4pm / Free* / 5+ year olds and their families


Today’s sessions mark the close of April’s Project Space exhibition. It’s your final chance to take a look and respond to 6a’s drawings of the planned gallery expansion. Book now to enjoy a city walk, or making on a mega scale, and share your views whilst participating. Places limited, booking essential on your chosen activities.


12noon - 1pm

City Walk with Thom Rees

Join Thom for a short walking tour of Central Milton Keynes. The session will encourage you to enjoy the buildings around you and focus on the shapes and places that inspire you. The walk will end with a practical making session in MK Gallery’s Project Space.

1 - 3pm

Build Big with Aaron Head

Today Aaron encourages you to build big and bravely as Mini Makers takes over the Events Space on massive scale. Enjoy building structures that completely take over the space; creating walls, doors and rooms to explore how 2-dimensional design can become reality. Come along and enjoy the final fun session of the month.

3 - 4pm

Design Workshop with Jess Thompson & Thom Rees

The final session of the day invites all families to hear about, and play with, the ideas for the gallery expansion.  Following a short introduction from the Project Manager, both Jess and Thom will help you explore 2-dimensional design as you are encouraged to playfully respond to the Project Space exhibition.

Places are limited, and booking essential via Eventbrite.  Ensure you book the correct number of child tickets for children that you need and adult tickets for adults.  Thank you. 



Arts Awards 

Mini Maker also encourages you to consider taking part in Arts Award Discover, a national scheme open to all 5+ year olds. These awards are all about taking part in, and enjoying art. Register your interest during any Mini Makers session by visiting the Information Desk in the main gallery.  (A £10 administration fee applies to do your ‘Discover’ Award with MK Gallery).  For further information please email
