Ryoko Akama

Ryoko Akama is a Japanese composer and visual artist. Graduating from SAE College in London, she began her musical career as a sound engineer at several studios. As a composer, her works have been performed and commissioned worldwide and published in the past under the name, Ryo Co. and Ryoko Kuwajima. She is also a member of the Lappetites, alongside Eliane Radigue/Kaffe Matthews/AGF and has been active as a collaborator on different projects with several other multidisciplinary artists. She is currently undertaking her PhD at the University of Huddersfield, under the guidance of Liza Lim and Monty Adkins.

 

 

Sarah Hughes
Sarah Hughes plays zither and piano in improvising groups and is a founding member of the Set Ensemble, a group of musicians dedicated to the performance of contemporary composition. She performs with long-term collaborators Patrick Farmer, Daniel Jones and Stephen Cornford and has also performed with musicians such as Antoine Berger, Michael Pisaro, Angharad Davies and Jurg Frey. She has performed internationally and has participated in various festivals such as Blurred Edges in Hamburg, NOW Now in Australia, i and e in Dublin, Sounds Like in Canada and Cut and Splice in London.

 

She is the co-founder of Compost and Height, curating projects such as Michael Pisaro’s Only [Harmony Series #17], New Works, and the Water Yam Project.

 

 

Jonny Hill

Jonny Hill is a sound artist based in Milton Keynes who's work uses a number of different approaches swinging freely between reel-to-reel tape collage, guitar abuse, modular synth workouts and turntablism. http://jonnyhill.blogspot.com

 

 

Pouya Ehsaei

Pouya Ehsaei is an Iranian artist residing in London. He has been involved in different projects and collaborations with performers, dancers, and musicians. He experiments with sound, words, video and computer graphics in order to create a piece that keeps the meaning and sensations open for the audience. He has a Phd in Music and an MA in Music Technology from University of York. His debut album There is published by Entr’acte in April 2014 which is an experiment with traditional Iranian music samples and excerpts to create lush soundscapes, harsh expressions and melancholic noises.
