Saturday Studio
Saturday Studio

For 5+ year olds and their families
City Club is an ambitious proposal to animate the public spaces surrounding MK Gallery and the northern end of Midsummer Boulevard. For the next 18 months, the Learning team will use the three main themes of City Club (garden, piazza and playground) as a means to explore how we use public space in Milton Keynes and how, as a community, we can engage with MK Gallery’s exciting expansion plans.
This month’s Saturday Studio sessions explore the role of contemporary art in the public realm and question how artworks can have a positive effect on how we collectively inhabit shared spaces.
Join artist Emma Wilde and make a collaborative public artwork inspired by Milton Keynes' unique grid system and the work of artist Jim Lambie. This will be a colourful floor based work using tape and collage material that we can later display in Margaret Powell square outside the gallery.
Tickets*
Places are limited, and booking essential. Ensure you book the correct number of child tickets for children that you need and adult tickets for adults. The charge is payable on the door, but due to the popularity of the sessions, please reserve your tickets online. Thank you.
