City Club is an ambitious proposal to animate the public spaces surrounding MK Gallery and the northern end of Midsummer Boulevard. For the next 18 months, the Learning team will use the three main themes of City Club (garden, piazza and playground) as a means to explore how we use public space in Milton Keynes and how, as a community, we can engage with MK Gallery’s exciting expansion plans.
Set foot in any city and you will be surrounded by a dizzying array of sounds from beeping cars to chirping birds and beyond. Join us this April as we take inspiration from the sounds of the city in a series of fun and experimental, artist led workshops.
Join artist Alice Boland-Rhodes as we create a host of weird and wonderful musical instruments. Could you make a trumpet or a boom boom droopy drum? Whatever you want to create to make new sounds. Why not create a new invention to make noise? Using various materials we will explore sounds and music together.
Places are limited, and booking essential. Ensure you book the correct number of child tickets for children that you need and adult tickets for adults. The charge is payable on the door, but due to the popularity of the sessions, please reserve your tickets online. Thank you.
