Vincent Dance Theatre: Virgin Territory Workshop

Vincent Dance Theatre - Virgin Territory Workshop

Saturday 11 November / 1-3pm / Free, pre-booking required

Book tickets

Vincent Dance Theatre's Virgin Territory Workshop offers a creative space for families to reflect on the impact of social media on their young people.

In an age where we are surrounded by gender stereotypes from an early age and where there is enormous pressure to be "liked" and "followed", how do we talk to our children about this?

Taking place in a 'staged environment' full of props and materials, participants are invited to think about the use of social media and decorate the layers of a Russian Doll to share their thoughts.

Selected scenes from the production play on four large screens in the background.

It was a great opportunity to share things that we have been struggling to discuss over the dinner table.” Mother, WHY? Festival 2016 London Southbank.

Vincent Dance Theatre's workshops are informed by 25 years of making and touring interdisciplinary, collaborative performance work that moves people and makes them think.
