Phil Collins - how to make a refugee

Sunday Film Screening

9.4. – 29.5.2005

In this film, made in 1999, Collins' familiar appropriation of the conventions of photography is offset by the stark reality of the experience at hand. Following life-style journalists in the Kosovan conflict, he records a photo-shoot they stage, and as the young protagonist tentatively unveils the scars of his experience, the horror of his revelation collides with the endearing warmth of the family setting.
