In autumn 2009 a review of the Gallery's branding and marketing activity led to increased investment in digital communications. Belgian designer Sara De Bondt was appointed, along with technical programmer Radovan Scasascia, to achieve the following results:

  • Name change: from Milton Keynes Gallery to MK Gallery.
  • New domain name:
  • New logo: contraction of the letters 'M' and 'K' to form a single letter.
  • Template: a flexible grid-square template and colour palette.
  • Typefaces: use of six system fonts on both Apple and PC.

Instead of a static identity, the combination of these new features offers design flexibility and visual variety in keeping with the Gallery's diverse programmes.

The new website includes:

  • Changing typefaces, colours and grid sizes on each visit.

  • An online shop.
  • Newly designed newsletters.
  • External and internal signage.

Our Web Coordinator, Aimee Holmes, will be adding an abundance of new content, downloadable resources and useful links and can be contacted at
