At MK Gallery we are committed to making our programme accessible to all visitors, and in 2008 we formed the Access Steering Group in partnership with Milton Keynes Theatre. The group members are advocates for the needs of audiences with a range of needs, and meet every 4 months to provide valuable feedback and advice on our programme and facilities.

A Visual Access Tour accompanies each main gallery exhibition, which is a live audio-described tour especially designed for visitors with visual impairment. Please visit our Events pages for information about upcoming Visual Access Tours. We also produce large-print guides for visitors with visual impairment.

Consult our Visitor Access Guide for details of our facilities and services for people with, for example, limited mobility, visual or hearing impairment. Click on the link to the right. Available in standard print or large print versions.

"The Gallery team have consistently been aware of our needs as visually impaired people and do everything they can to enable our activities.

We have established a wonderful relationship with them over the last year and as a result, now have a dedicated touch and described tour of each new exhibition. Our Group is now responding to contemporary art which we had previously found to be inaccessible. Thank you so much for helping us achieve something we never thought possible!"
