MK Calling 2017 showcases new and exciting work by over 70 emerging and established artists.   


This exhibition celebrates creativity in and around Milton Keynes and includes a wide range of art forms alongside a dynamic programme of events and participatory sessions.

Family-in-Residence: The Lakes Estate

7 - 29 April 2017 / Admission free


This exhibition has been created with members of the Lakes Estate. Residents, past and present, are invited to add material to this display of archival documents, photographs, sound experiments and recordings, which will accumulate over the course of the month. Those who are interested in contributing material can email lstauvers@mkgallery.org.

6 April / Conscia Jazz presents: Stuart McCallum Manchester based guitarist Stuart is best known for his work with The Cinematic Orchestra. 


13 April / Group A, Dale Cornish, Circuit Breaker Japanese avant-garde synth wave duo Group A plus Dale Cornish, previously of No Bra, and industrial band, Circuit Breaker. 


20 April / 6pm / RIBA Lecture With Alan Stanton and Paul Williams, founders of the multi-award winning architectural design practice Stanton Williams. 


27 April / Plan:MK Update Includes a presentation by Anna Rose, Service Director. Growth, Economy and Culture at Milton Keynes Council.

21 April / Maggie's Plan Greta Gerwig, Ethan Hawke and Oscar-winner Julianne Moore star in this delightfully witty, wry comedy.


28 April / The Curious World of Hieronymous Bosch Delve into the vivid imagination of a true visionary.

The Grubby Mitts

The Grubby Mitts plus support

Saturday 22 April / Doors 7.30pm / £5 in advance, £6 on the door 


The Grubby Mitts started as part of the art-practice of band leader Andy Holden, leading to a run of concerts in art-galleries, but the band soon took on a life of its own, combining live visuals with experimental sounds and emotionally direct melodies.
