Teacher's Tour

Thursday 5 May / 5-6pm / Free

Join us for a tour of our current exhibition by Gareth Jones, and an update on our learning programme. There will also be a short presentation from Kim Davies, Learning Events Coordinator at MK City Discovery Centre. Refreshments will be provided.


Remain for the Project Space preview (6 - 7.30pm), and/or an exhibition talk with Derek Walker, Chief Architect and Planner of Milton Keynes (6.30pm).

Forward Planning

2011/12 Exhibitions

Our Forward Planning Document will be available from July.


It will offer an overview of our exhibitions programme throughout the 2011/12 academic year, with key themes and suggestions for further research. Designed to help you through your summer planning!

Plan Your Visit

We offer free introductory talks for all Key Stages, and further art activities can be arranged. Alternatively you are welcome to visit the gallery independently.


We are currently working with MK City Discovery Centre to offer specially designed tours of Gareth Jones’ exhibition coupled with a visit to MKCDC to learn more about the history of Milton Keynes.

Host an Exhibition at MK Gallery

We invite proposals from schools and colleges, interested in presenting an exhibition in our Project Space. It could be a body of work produced by pupils in the classroom, or the result of a project in response to our exhibitions programme.


Currently on display is an exhibition of work by by pupils of Romans Field School, with planned future exhibitions by Deanshanger Primary School in May and Leon School & Sports College in July.

Family-friendly activities, all centred around dance, music and the visual arts. Read more

New Exhibition at Milton Keynes City Discovery Centre

Creating Communities / 9 – 15 May / 10 – 4pm (Fridays until 7:30pm)

Complementing our current Gareth Jones exhibition, this display will chart the emergence of Milton Keynes through photographs, documents, video and architectural models.


A memory wall will form a key part of the exhibition, inviting local people to contribute to the narrative about the city.
