This is the first UK public exhibition by German artist Peter Dreher (b.1932), renowned for his series of over 5,000 paintings of the same, empty glass, produced almost daily for the last 40 years.

Hollis Frampton

Artificial Light (1969; 25 mins) by Hollis Frampton
1 - 30 November 2013

A looped screening of Artificial Light (1969) by the American Hollis Frampton (1932-84), one of the most important experimental filmmakers of the 20th century.   The short, single scene in this film of artists talking, drinking and socialising twenty times offers a stylistic counterpoint to Peter Dreher's repetitive paintings.

New Project Space Exhibition

Outside the Box: Free Range Education
8 November – 1 December 2013
Opening Event / 7 November / 4-6pm  

Outside the Box presents work made by home educating children from the Milton Keynes area. It is the culmination of a series of art workshops at MK Gallery led by artist Aaron Head for the Milton Keynes Free Range Education group.  Children have produced nature themed artwork using a variety of techniques, including making sculptures out of sand, birds out of second hand books and mountain landscapes out of cardboard.

This is a monthly, informal networking event hosted by The Real Mum’s Pulpit.  Launched at MK Gallery last month,  the aim is to provide a social, relaxed and informal environment for ‘mums in business’ to come together, share tips, ideas, successes and challenges.

Call for Collectors

This January MK Gallery Project Space will be used to explore ‘The Art of Collecting’ to complement our forthcoming Treasures in MK exhibition.  We invite any Buckinghamshire based collector to propose their collection for inclusion, be it small and quirky or a theme developed to a large scale over a number of years.
