MK Gallery is Expanding

The main gallery will

re-open in 2017 with:


  Doubled exhibition spaces for historical and modern art

  A multi-purpose auditorium overlooking Campbell Park

  A dedicated space for learning and community activities

  Excellent access facilities

  A new café/bar and shop


Family and public events continue during construction in our Project Space.

A series of archival exhibitions that will be presented both online and in MK Gallery’s Project Space whilst the main building is being expanded. Flashback will provide an opportunity to reflect on the Gallery’s history by reviewing its exhibitions, events and projects of the past 16 years.

15 October / Provoke! An open discussion bringing together people with insight and understanding of inequality. 


22 October / Luke Daniels: Revolve & Rotate Live music from an award-winning musician, Riverdance Band member and soloist on Lord of the Rings and Hobbit soundtracks. 


29 October / Bill Orcutt, The Doomed Bird of Providence, Adam Coney and Sharp Fists Legendary underground avant-bluesman Bill Orcutt makes a rare appearance in MK.

Working with an associate artists each week, explore drawing and storytelling in a variety of unusual, exciting and experimental forms.

17 October / Construct a time machine using found materials

24 October / Explore unusual drawing techniques

31 October / Transform every day objects using drawing

MK Gallery’s Collaborate 2015 artist in residence, Anna Sikorska, teams with landscape architect Miranda Schut to lead a workshop making dream spaces and enticing environments that you can carry home.
