This week sees the opening of our new Gerard Byrne exhibition Case Study: Loch Ness (Some possibilities and problems), 2001-2011.

Through photographs, film, text and sound, the exhibition examines the myth of the Loch Ness Monster, exploring how images inform our understanding of myth and reality.

Byrne will also be launching a new exhibition this week at The Renaissance Society in Chicago, presenting a multi-channel video installation titled “A thing is a hole in a thing it is not.” Co-commissioned by The Renaissance Society, The Lismore Castle Arts, and 2010 Glasgow International Festival of Visual Art.

The exhibition runs at MK Gallery from 14 January - 3 April 2011.

Join us on Thursday 13 January from 6pm for the exhibition preview.
