MK Gallery's exterior has recently undergone a dramatic change, and now features a colourful, large-scale design across three facades.

Designed by Sara De Bondt design studio, who devised the gallery’s recent rebrand, the mural comprises large-scale hand-painted graphics. Different permutations of coloured squares, with solid, hatched and dotted finishes have been used in varying scales, representing enlarged versions of the gallery’s visual identity, as seen across this website.

Unlike most corporate identities, Milton Keynes Gallery, now rebranded MK Gallery, no longer relies on a single logo, fixed colour palette or typeface. In keeping with the varied and challenging art within its walls, Sara de Bondt has devised a more flexible and open-ended branding system for the gallery, allowing mixed use of colours and fonts.

Speaking of the design, Anthony Spira, MK Gallery Director said: These large-scale, bold, colourful designs, are intended to make our building more visible and arouse people’s curiosity about the lively and exciting programme being presented inside our building.
