Artwork by visually impaired adults to be exhibited at MK Gallery

One day event by BucksVision Eye for Art Club

24 March 2012 / 11am – 4.00pm / Free

BucksVision Eye for Art, an art club for visually impaired adults in Milton Keynes, has created stunning original artwork using a grant awarded by Milton Keynes Community Foundation. Nearly 40 original artworks, including paintings, mono prints, watercolour and collage, all inspired by images of Sierra Leone will be on display and for sale at MK Gallery on Saturday 24 March, 11am - 4.00pm, to raise money for visually impaired families in Sierra Leone.

The idea to create artwork based on the landscapes, nature and patterns of Sierra Leone was inspired after the members of Eye for Art club met visually impaired and blind Artists and Arts Trainers from Sierra Leone, whose visit to Milton Keynes was organised by MK charity Powerful Information. Powerful Information work to empower communities in low-income countries to tackle the root causes of poverty, injustice and environmental harm.
