Arts and Heritage Open Places Week
Arts & Heritage Open Places, which runs from 11-20 May 2012, is a ten-day festival of cultural activities, workshops, talks, tours, performances and exhibitions, inviting everyone to discover the wealth of art and heritage available to them in Milton Keynes.
Events on offer at MK Gallery during Arts & Heritage Open Places include:
- Two Friday Night Film Screenings, presented with Independent Cinema MK
- A Scratch Night performance from Northampton-based musicians
- A Saturday Night Live Music Micro Festival – Talk Amongst Yourselves

The Arts & Heritage Open Places festival is the initiative of voluntary organisation Arts & Heritage Alliance MK (AHA-mk), a representative forum of twenty-seven Milton Keynes Arts and Heritage organisations.
AHOP 2012 also marks the start of an extraordinary Summer of Culture in Milton Keynes, taking place between May and September. Residents and visitors can choose from an exceptional season of cultural events, ranging from, the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee, elements of the National Cultural Olympiad, MK Gallery’s Pushwagner exhibition and Norwegian Season and MKIF 2012 (the city’s very own International Festival) amongst many others.
