MPs Iain Stewart and Mark Lancaster have encouraged local primary schools to create designs for their personal Christmas cards to showcase local creativity. The competition was open to year 5 and year 6 pupils from any primary school in both Parliamentary constituencies in Milton Keynes.

This year’s designs were judged by Anthony Spira, Director of MK Gallery and Anna Mauremootoo, Reporter for MK News.

The winner of the competition for each constituency will feature on the front of their respective MP’s personal Christmas card with each MP sending over 300 Christmas cards to their family, friends and colleagues, including the Prime Minister and Her Majesty the Queen. The runners up for the Christmas card competition and their designs will be featured as thumbprints on the reverse of the MPs’ Christmas cards.

The winners and runners up of the competition will be announced on 14 December and all entries from participating schools will be on display at MK Gallery from 7-30 December.
