An English National Ballet Dance Response to Peter Dreher's Work
Friday 18 October / 6.30pm /  Free but places limited.  Pre-booking essential from 1 October.

A unique pre-performance dance event is to take place at MK Gallery on Friday 18th October, performed by members of English National Ballet (ENB) in response to the work of German artist Peter Dreher.

Starting at 6.30pm and lasting for approximately 10 minutes, this creative response will be choreographed by ENB's Associate Artist, George Williamson, and performed by members of the ENB cast of the ballet Le Corsaire, which world premieres at Milton Keynes Theatre from 17-19 October 2013.

English National Ballet is the UK’s premier touring ballet company.  Their event this October builds on the success of a previous dance response at MK Gallery last autumn to the work of the influential American photographer James Welling.

German artist Dreher (b.1932), is renowned for his series of over 5,000 paintings of the same, empty glass, produced almost daily for the last 40 years. MK Gallery will be presenting around 150 glass works in the Long Gallery as part of his exhibition.

The event on 18 October is free but places are limited and pre-booking will be essential.   Bookings, via MK Gallery website, will be open from Tuesday 1 October.
