Call for Collectors

Deadline for proposals: Monday 16 December 2013

This January MK Gallery Project Space will explore ‘The Art of Collecting’ via a display designed to complement MK Gallery's  forthcoming Treasures in MK exhibition.  MK Gallery's Learning Team invite any Buckinghamshire based collector to propose their collection for inclusion, be it small and quirky or a larger scaled thematic collection developed over a number of years.

Treasures in MK (24 January -  5 March 2014) will include over 250 historical and modern treassures borrowed from over 50 private and public collections in and around Buckinghamshire. It will include works by Old Masters such as Durer, Hogarth and Millais, Modern Masters such as Matisse, Picasso and Warhol, as well as iconic contemporary classics such as the Aston Martin DB5.

Inclusion of any material in the Project Space exhibition is subject to selection by the Learning Team, and the deadline for proposals is Monday 16 December 2013.

For further information about the Project Space exhibition or to take part please contact Victoria Maye, MK Gallery's Informal Learning Manager:  vmayes@mkgallery.org.
