City Club is a major project, led by MK Gallery and delivered in partnership with arts and heritage organisations and artists across Milton Keynes, which will result in a series of permanent and temporary commissions launched in the autumn of 2017. The project has received support from Arts Council England through the Ambition for Excellence programme and from MK Council and is an integral part of MK50, a year long cultural celebration of the 50th anniversary of the founding of the city.

Bletchley Park, working with Milton Keynes' arts and heritage organisations along with the Open University, is inviting artists to submit proposals to create a site specific or time based public realm commission as a key element of this project. The commission should use some aspect of digital technology as means of creation and/or distribution and should take inspiration from the people, places and histories of Milton Keynes and the themes and concepts of City Club. The work does not need to have a physical presence but should be linked in some way to the physical space of Milton Keynes.

The overall budget for the commission is £90,000 inc. VAT. The budget is to cover the artist's fee, materials, technology, development, workshops, installation and maintenance.
