Showcase 2011

Ottilie Wyn Fine

The Erl-King

9 - 14 September 2011

Ottilie will exhibit digital photography, photograms and illustrations in ink, created in direct response to Angela Carter’s short story, The Erl-King, a narrative of autumn and winter months in a forest setting, where the malevolent woodland spirit ‘Erl-King’ captures young girls for his own entertainment.

Drawing inspiration from literature and drama, she enjoys experimenting with different media but is most often drawn to fine, illustrative pen work and in seeking to portray the mysterious and surreal admits to being influenced by the work of Arthur Rackham. A diploma graduate from MK College and a UCMK Foundation Year student, she will be studying Fin Art at the University of Wales next year.

Showcase 2011
