Friday Night Films

"I would like to say thank you for the Friday Night Films that you show at the Gallery.  I am sure that a lot of time and effort goes into selecting such a diverse, enjoyable and thought-provoking selection of films and I just wanted to let you know how appreciated they are. By the way, last Friday's film 'A Pigeon sat on a Branch Reflecting on Existence' was amazing." (Anita Barrett, July 2015)

Photography Portfolio Reviews

Saturday 22 November 2014

"The portfolio review was a great opportunity for me to receive feedback on my previous work and discuss my current work in progress. Having the opportunity to talk about your work with someone who is very involved in the contemporary photography world like Karen is a great privilege and something I definitely couldn’t have come across without MK Gallery. Karen gave me a very detailed and useful feedback and talking to her about my new work helped me assure that I’m on the right track and worked as a huge and much needed confidence boost. All in all it was an extremely pleasurable experience and I hope MK Gallery continues to organise such events." (Holger Kilumets)

"It was an honour to have the opportunity to meet a successful professional like Karen McQuaid, curator for The Photographers' Gallery. She showed great enthusiasm and deep insight when reviewing my portfolio for which I am extremely appreciative. I would highly recommend this valuable learning experience MK Gallery offers to photographers." (Emma Brown)

"Would like to say big thank you to the gallery and my reviewer (Karen McQuaid) for the portfolio review on Saturday. It was  invaluable in helping me going forward with my book project and realising the work. Having the opportunity to talk about the work and gain some insightful advice from a professional (whilst receiving constructive criticism) has allowed me to look at the book in different ways and  has given me the confidence, and lift, to now see it to its fruition."
