Treasures in MK

24 January - 30 March 2014, MK Gallery

Like a ‘cabinet of curiosities’, Treasures in MK brought together an eclectic array of artworks and objects, selected from over 50 collections within Buckinghamshire, mostly in private hands. This publication focuses on the fascinating stories behind the works, with an image and entry for each work in the exhibition, in addition to installation photographs showing the diverse range of contemporary and historical objects that were on display. The catalogue includes Old Masters Dürer, Hogarth and Millais; Modern Masters Matisse, Picasso and Warhol plus iconic classics such as an Aston Martin DB4.

Includes a text on 'The Curious Art of Collecting' by the art historian, art critic, author and TV presenter Robert Cumming.
