Ikran Abdille is an artist currently working and living in Northampton. Abdille’s work explores ideas around language, GIFs and overlaying textures and thoughts. The artist creates work that is filled with fragmented stories relating to many different ideas and which are carefully pieced together.
Abdille’s work represents a puzzle comprised of layered photographs and moving images, playing with the eye’s tendency to focus on many things at once. Abdille’s work captures the fast-paced, constant generation of GIFs to communicate, while also considering the stand still aspect of a photograph.
