Join us on the final weekend of our current exhibition by Gareth Jones as he introduces a screening of his new work Pop Videos of the 1980s.
Pop Videos of the 1980s is a feature-length compilation that celebrates the politics of identity during an infamously conservative decade. The videos are drawn from Jones' VHS collection and develop his interest in restoring lost or forgotten publicity material to visibility. This new work, commissioned by MK Gallery, is conceived as a coda to Jones' solo exhibition exploring the social and cultural landscape of Milton Keynes in the 1970s.
Gareth Jones’ exhibition runs until 26 June at MK Gallery.
