August’s exhibition encourages MK’s young citizens to get involved in the creative design process for MAKE – MK’s Cultural Education Partnership. In June 127 children and young people from 5 Milton Keynes schools took part in Children’s Art Week at MK Gallery working with designer Michael Evans to commission a new brand identity for MAKE Milton Keynes.
Participants explored past and present design within the town, making reference to the recent rebranding journey of MK Gallery. Engaging with the site, and connecting with the town’s visual history, the workshops teased out what influences the design of a brand in order to inspire ideas for the ‘live’ branding brief.
