During October, Saturday Studio takes inspirations from our Ride high exhibition in the Project Space and 'The Big Draw' theme 'Drawn to life' both of which focus on living a healthier and happier life. Join us each week for fun activities and to celebrate well-being.
MK Gallery Associate artist Adey (the Drum United drumming and percussion workshop leader) will be providing interactive drumming sessions - uplifting, fun and energising for all ages and all abilities. Based on the Positive Mindful Drumming program, the sessions are a therapeutic form of music, percussion and drumming.
Positive Mindful Drumming uses mantra and affirmations to remember / learn rhythms such as “Believe in the world, believe in you!” and “Got to be positive, you got to be kind!” – a great way to improve well-being, a growth mindset, and lead a healthier happier life.
Young participants at the MK Gallery can access a free online E-course to practice the mantra, and rhythms. So, come along to the studio, have fun altogether and share the power of Positive Mindful Drumming. Visit www.drumunited.org and www.positivemindfuldrumming.com for videos and more info.
